AN Irish style knees-up and hotpot supper helped more than 150 members of an East Lancashire Church forget the cold.
The Ceilidh evening was organised by St Alban's Church, Blackburn, to boost their appeal to raise around £500,000 for a new church roof.
"It was in danger of being pulled down," said parishioner Mr Raymond O'Brien.
"We started a group to raise money and it's going really well. We have already raised £21,000 from various events over the last two months."
Former Rovers and England captain Ronnie Clayton was the special guest star who came accompanied with a signed Rovers football to be used as a raffle prize.
