A £6 MILLION cash boost was announced to regenerate run-down areas of Blackburn and Burnley.
Blackburn was set to net £4.01 million and Burnley £2.17 million from the Government's £264 million urban programme package.
But Blackburn's share was £90,000 less than for the previous year and the town was to plead for more money by lobbying Environment Secretary Michael Heseltine to tour the borough.
