OUTDOOR specialist Karrimor is moving its cycle equipment division to Lancashire.
The warehouse and sales offices of Karrimor Cycle Equipment in Newport, Gwent, are relocating to the head office of Karrimor International in Clayton-le-Moors next month.
Karrimor took over the former Life Cycle business in Wales two years ago and, now the lease is up on the warehouse there, the firm has decided to move the operation north.
The move, which is expected to create around four job vacancies at the Clayton-le-Moors head office, also coincides with a reorganisation of the sales team.
"Tough trading in recent years has focused our commitment, enthusiasm and energies for cycling and supporting products," said managing director Jen Longbottom.
"The recent changes can only create opportunities to produce even better products and service for our customers."
Karrimor International are once again backing the British Open Mountain Bike Series in May.
