A WHOLE community is on the lookout for Lady the Labrador who took a walk in the snow and can't find her way home.
Lady, a black Labrador cross, has been the constant companion of 85-year-old Mr Eric Hill and he and all his neighbours in the Sydney Avenue area of Whalley are hoping to get her home soon.
Miss Anne-Marie Robinson, one of Mr Hill's neighbours, said: "Lady has been his best friend and companion since he got her from the RSPCA about four years ago.
"He has been lost without her and I'm sure Lady is feeling the same way.
"She got out while Mr Hill was getting some coal and we have been told that she won't have been able to sniff her way back home because of the snow on the ground.
"We have been told that she has wandered off in the Great Harwood direction and that she may have been hit by a car.
"I have looked everywhere for her, the local shopkeepers have put signs in their windows and the local children have sent leaflets out.
"Mr Hill is a lovely local character and we all want Lady to come back home to him."
Anyone who knows where Lady might be is asked to contact Mr Hill on 824128 or Miss Robinson on 822789.
