A CRIMEBUSTING cat from Blackpool stunned her owners when she trapped a bungling burglar.
Now, the fearless feline has been shortlisted for an Arthur award in a nationwide search for Britain's bravest moggies.
Bianco's owner Cathy Greenwood definitely thinks she deserves to take the cream.
While the Greenwoods, of Hornby Road, slept soundly in their beds, Bianco was alerted to the sound of an intruder in the house. Courageously taking her life in her paws, Bianco ran into the bedroom and alerted Cathy and husband Bernard by miaowing loudly.
"We knew straight away something must be wrong so Bernard went to investigate," said Cathy.
"He discovered a man crouched in the corner of the room but pretended not to notice the intruder. He then came back to our bedroom and called the police."
When the police arrived, they arrested the man and were amazed to hear how Bianco had saved the day.
Now the magnificent moggy is keeping her claws crossed that she will be catapulted to feline fame.
If selected as one of the country's 13 winners, Bianco and Cathy will be whisked to London in April for a star-studded awards ceremony at BAFTA, home of the British film industry.
Judges at the ceremony include Johnny Morris and Valerie Singleton. Bianco will be hoping to come away with the top prize of £1,000 plus the coveted Golden Arthur trophy.
