APPEARING in the BBC TV show 'The Generation Game' with zany comic Jim Davidson may seem a half-baked idea to some folk.
But for Richard Waterfield, boss of Leigh based Waterfield's bakery, it is becoming a habit.
For Richard will be appearing on the show on Saturday when he makes a chocolate bunny in just 90 seconds!
Three years ago he appeared on the programme and demonstrated making a milk knot bread roll. And in 1994 employee Wendy Whittaker appeared to create a marzipan witch.
The programmme, which was recorded before a live audience in December, will go on-air at 6.05pm.
It is just the latest example of the reputation built up by the Manchester Road-based company which has 26 retail outlets throughout Lancashire, Cheshire and Merseyside, and a host of awards to their credit, including a special award for their contribution to the baking industry.
Richard said: "We are very pleased indeed to get national coverage in this way, because it not only puts the Waterfield name to a huge audience, but it also gives the company the chance to show members of the public in Leigh, the North West, and throughout the country just how professional and caring we are."
