POP group Simply Red's gold disk will be the talking point at Preston College's grand auction tomorrow (February 2).
The disk is just one of a number of items, including old and new crockery, which is being auctioned to raise money to send a group of students to Nepal.
Jacky Robinson, senior tutor in childhood studies, who organises the expedition said Simply Red donated the disk to them just before Christmas.
She said: "The disk is undoubtedly our 'piece de resistance'."
The disk was presented to Simply Red for their 1987 album Men and Women.
The auction, at Fulwood and Broughton church hall, Preston, is from 7.30-9pm.
