HUNDREDS of workers were left reeling after a new wave of job cuts hit East Lancashire.
A total of 169 were to be axed at Rists in Accrington and another 40 jobs were to go at Blythe Chemicals in Church and Hapton.
The redundancies were the latest blow to East Lancashire industry and came in the same week that 50 job losses at Barnoldswick Rolls Royce were announced.
