POLICE issued a warning after thieves made off with potentially lethal drugs. They feared youngsters might have mistaken some of the tablets for sweets.

More than 800 tablets and two bottles of medicine were stolen from chemist Ian Espley's car outside his home in Billinge End Road, Blackburn. "None of them was dangerous, but they would become dangerous if swallowed in large quantities," said Mr Espley.
