OFFICE furniture group Calderburn has announced plans to sell another part of its business in a £6.5 million deal.
The move comes just a week after the group revealed it was selling the office furniture division of Cooper Dauphin at Altham to Huncoat based Senator International.
Now Calderburn - formed in 1991 by the merger of East Lancashire firms Alan Cooper and Mayfield - has said it is selling its Preston based Unit Press company to three directors.
Unit Press designs and manufactures steel componentry for office seating and desking. The main products are seat mechanisms for swivel office chairs.
In the year ended 31 December 1995, Unit Press had a turnover of £11.8 million and profit before taxation of £1 million. The disposal of Unit Press is conditional on shareholders approval.
