AN URGENT inspection of a fairground big wheel was made after claims that it was dangerous.
The wheel was part of the annual fair put up in Knott Street, Darwen.
But Darwen councillor Paul Browne called for an immediate inspection by a safety officer because the wheel had been erected near a fence.
"Anyone could jump from the fencing to the big wheel and I think it's very dangerous," he said.
