OUR HEART goes out to the young couple from Accrington whose baby's tragic cot death you reported (LET, January 18).
This is a terrible reminder that the cot death problem is still not solved: with ten babies dying every week, it remains the leading cause of death for children and there is desperate need to provide support for families when tragedy strikes.
If any of your readers would like information about cot death, or would like to know how to help, please write for free leaflets to: The Foundation for the Study for Infant Deaths, 14 Halkin Street, London SW1X 7DP. Please send SAE.
