SIXTY eight years married - and they're still in love!
Pensioners Jenny and Jo Ward reckon they could hold the record for being wed the longest number of years in Lancashire.
Jenny, 87, and Jo, 92, tied the knot at St Ignatius' Church, Preston back in 1927. And they say they're as much in love now as they were on their wedding day.
According to the Guinness Book of Records, Jenny and Jo have quite a way to go to break the world record though. One couple from the UK were married for 81 years, but Jo and Jenny could well hold the record for the longest marriage in Lancashire.
Jo said: "We are still very much in love and manage to get out together twice a week."
And he claims at nearly 93 he's still fighting fit: "I only retired as a gardener when I was 81, I reckon I can get about faster than some 21-year-olds."
The couple have four daughters, 28 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and other relatives in Australia.
When they're not busy with their family they like a flutter at their local bingo club at Deepdale Hall.
Jenny said: "It passes a bit of time on. Jo's quite lucky and wins a few bob."
And she added: "After 68 years married Jo and I do have our arguments, but I wouldn't swop him for the world."
