WHALLEY have signed Mark Fallon as professional for the coming season.
Fallon is a former amateur at the club and was a member of the team that won the Ribblesdale League Championship in 1990.
That season he was voted League Player of the Year and won the bowling prize.
Fallon was professional with Thornham in the Lancashire and Cheshire Leaague in 1991 and 1992. He then moved to Stand in the Central Lancs League in 1993 and 1994.
Last year he was coach and player with Elton in the Vimto Bolton and District Association where he scored 1,430 runs at an average of 44.
Fallon will link up once again with Simon Gorton who is also returning to Whalley following a year at Earby as professional.
Batsman Paul MacIntosh has also returned to Station Road but David Redhead has left the club for East Lancs.

Indoor nets are being held on Thursdays at St Mary's Hall, Stonyhurst (7pm).
