A HIGHLY-RATED East Lancashire restaurant has been honoured for its friendly service.
Samrat Asian Cuisine, in Bacup Road, Rawtenstall, has been given a top award from the British Hospitality Association.
Proprietor Mohammed Alkas Ali was given the award for the high standard of service and comfort he provides at the popular restaurant.
It comes hot on the heels of an award from the Accolade for Catering Excellence Organisation last September. That prize is only given to restaurants, pubs and hotels which gain a good reputation with customers.
Mr Ali also reached the last eight in an international competition for Indian chefs in Edinburgh event, competing against 4,700 entrants from all over the world.
