POLICE are warning tenants on the Sparth Farm estate in Clayton-le-Moors to be on the look-out for a burglar who is believed to have targeted the area.
In the last week four houses have been broken into during the hours of darkness.
Detective Inspector Jim Oldcorn, head of Accrington CID, said: "People should be aware that a night-time burglar is operating in the area.
"Residents should take all the proper precautions, including making sure homes are properly secured before going to bed."
