SALES manager Anne Carlin's research project proved a tonic for her firm's customers.
Anne was awarded a Ph.D for her work which has led to the development of a new product for Wolstenholme International.
Anne, area sales manager for the Darwen firm's metallic pigments division, undertook her project while working in the research and development department.
And as a result the firm developed its Superoto Extra Stability bronze powder which has been launched at an industry exhibition.
"We are very proud of Anne's achievement and pleased that the work she has done to achieve this honour has also produced a commercially viable product for our ink customers," said Ian Nicholson, sales director of the metallic pigments division.
"In addition the technical expertise that Anne has developed is beneficial in helping satisfy customers' ink requirements in her current sales role."
Anne already holds an MSc in Chemistry from University College, Dublin.
