KEEPING it in the family couldn't be a better way of describing the Easter show at Blackpool Pleasure Beach - Roy and Phil Walker will be appearing on the same bill.
The father and son comics are lined up to play the Paradise Rooms from April 5-7, with Phil stepping into the support spot for his father.
And it is something they are both looking forward to.
Phil, who lives in St Annes, told the Citizen: "We have done shows together before and they have always worked well.
"Our styles are very different and as a result we are able to complement each other.
"I am really looking forward to performing on home soil and it will be a good chance for us to see each other's shows for a change."
Having a father in the showbiz world, it would have been natural for Phil to follow in his footsteps but entertainment wasn't his first choice.
"I grew up around comedy but I had several different jobs before I became a blue coat at Pontins and caught the bug," he explained.
Thankfully, he chose the right path to follow and has built up a name for himself in his own right, featuring in Granada's The Comedians and entertaining more than 2,000 troops in Bosnia.
Phil couldn't have had a better mentor than Roy, now a household name, but will he have to watch out for his son upstaging him at the Pleasure Beach?
"The only thing he will have to worry about is that as I am going on first I will be able to do all his gags," joked Phil.
