WARRIORS U8s played Golborne and won 40-30 but their performance was not up to this teams usual standard.
Tries were scored by Chris Tuson (4), Daniel Aspinall (2) and James Lloyd (2), with conversions by Daniel Armstrong, Jonathan Walker, James Lloyd and Tom Farmer.
Golborne also played by the U9s at Leyland where the Warriors were narrowly beaten 26-28. This was a good all-round team effort and Warriors would have won if all their tries had been converted. Man of the match was Phill Briggs, while top tackler was Wayne Standring and player of distinction was Gary Dolan.
The U10s travelled to Wigan to take on St Cuthberts Cougars and won 24-30. This was an excellent display of end-to-end rugby against a team which has improved during the past season. Lee Parkinson, man of the match, converted three, along with one by Wes Loram who also scored three of the tries. Andrew Smith scored two, with one each for Hal Pedlar and Stuart Brown.
The U12s travelled with several first team players missing and put in a poor performance, losing to Runcorn side Westbank. Michael Tipping contributed an outstanding tackling performance in defence and Andrew Thorpe made good yards in his debut game.
An under-strength U13s team played at home to Hindley. Although they played with two players less than the opposition they still played well and the game was in the balance until the end. Three late tries by Hindley against the exhausted Warriors finally won Hindley the game 18-44. Captain Danny Wright scored a hat-trick to take his personal tally of 38 tries this season. Man of the match Ian Schofield converted all three tries. Leyland
