A COUPLE escaped after a chequebook fraud at a superstore went wrong.
The man and woman ran off after alert staff at Asda in Colne spotted the stolen chequebook and card.
The couple were trying to buy alcohol from the store, but staff became suspicious. The fraudsters ran outside and escaped in a red car. The man is white, aged between 20 and 24, with a pale complexion and bushy brown eyebrows. The woman is white, 5ft 11in tall with shoulder-length brown hair.
