POLICE in pursuit of two criminals caught one, and a police dog showed them where the second was hiding - up a large tree!
The incident happened in Bury during the early hours of Tuesday morning when police were called to the Leisure Lakes Sports Shop in Wash Lane.
Following footprints in the snow they tracked down one man but saw no signs of the second until the dog stopped dead near the tree and refused to move.
When they spotted the suspect he refused to come down, but he eventually became so cold the fire brigade were called in to help bring him down from his perch!
