GRAHAM Fenton paid tribute to the greatest Geordie of them all, Alan Shearer, pictured right, after opening his Blackburn Rovers scoring account with last night's winner against Leeds.
"There's nobody better to play with up front is there," said the 21-year-old who went on as a second half substitute.
"Every time he goes up for a header, even though the lads behind him are three, four or five inches taller than him, he seems to win every ball.
"And you can predict where the ball is going to go, he's got that much awareness he doesn't simply flick it on, he heads it to you.
"He's just class."
The two Geordies linked up well and Fenton laughed: "There weren't any communication problems but no-one else could understand us!"
