APTLY named Eric Driver took delivery of a brand-new Renault 5 as star prizewinner in a Burnley high school draw.
Lucky Mr Driver, who is chairman of Habergham High School's governors and also a member its parents', teachers' and friends' association - which organised the event - paid a £2 stake over 16 weeks for a crack at the car.
A fund-raising ceilidh was held at the school when the winning ticket was drawn, and it was announced that the event raised about £1,000.
Mr Driver, whose children Christopher, 20, and Kelly, 19, used to attend the school, said he was delighted to take delivery of the new car from Kitchens garage.
