MORE than 100 years of male domination came to an end today when women were allowed into the annual general meeting of Darwen's Central Conservative Club. It is the first time women have been given a say in running the Church Street club since it was founded in 1981.
Club treasurer Alan Wilcock, said: "In this day and age, good gracious yes, it has got to be right. The old system was a bit archaic."
