ACCRINGTON are the only Marsden BS Lancashire Cricket League club still without a professional - with the new season just a few weeks away.

And the club's cricket chairman Peter Barratt said: "At the moment, we haven't got anybody.

"But we have agents working for us and hope to hear something soon.

"Nobody realises better than I do that time is getting short."

Mr Barratt dismissed a suggestion that Accrington had already set up a deal to bring one of the Sri Lankan World Cup stars to the league.
