PARENT Neil Hogg put his chef's hat on as part of science week at St Peter and St Paul's CE Primary School, Rishton.
Mr Hogg, a chef at Sparth House Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors, baked some bread and explained the history and art of bread-making to junior classes. His daughter, Bethany, 7, is a pupil at the school.
The school's theme for Science Week is "Ourselves'' and all the pupils are taking part in activities to learn about healthy living.
Ten guests, including a doctor, nurse, optician, physiotherapist, plus paramedics are visiting the school to give demonstrations and talk to the children.
