INDIVIDUALS and groups across Britain are now preparing for this year's Dragon Boat racing season, and on behalf of the Cancer Research Campaign I am appealing to anyone who is interested in racing to help the Campaign raise vital funds for cancer research.
Races are being organised at many different locations and I am urging schoolchildren, work colleagues, youth and sports club members, as well as Guides, Scouts and youth groups everywhere to take up the challenge.
Between 22 to 25 people who are all confident in the water are required for each crew.
To find out how you can get involved with the Dragon Boat Racing for the Cancer Research Campaign contact Tracy Cooper, national sports and youth events manager, Cancer Research Campaign, Cambridge House, 10 Cambridge Terrace, London, NW1 4JL. (0171 224 1333.
