A BUNGLING raider was left stumbling from an off-licence after the manager foiled his hold-up attempt.
The would-be thief walked into the Cellar 5 store on Royd's Street, Accrington, brandishing a craft-style knife and wearing an army-style woollen hat pulled down over his face. But he was left fumbling for the door when off-licence boss Roger Sandford defended himself with a wooden truncheon.
