SUPERSCAN was given a kick towards its £1 million goal when three top soccer stars joined the fund-raising team.
Blackburn Rovers players Nicky Marker, Alan Shearer and Jason Wilcox owe their careers to MRI scans which were able to quickly identify their cruciate ligament knee injuries.
Sporting SuperScan sweatshirts at their training session, the three gave their backing to the appeal, acknowledging the importance of having a Magnetic Resonance Imaging scanner in East Lancashire - vital for treating sports-related injuries.
