A PROJECT to create a golf driving range on Ribble Valley farm land has been put before council planning chiefs for examination.
The scheme includes two shelters, one containing 12 driving bays and the other eight bays, as well as a car parking area for up to 30 cars at Brook House Farm, Mitton Road, Whalley.
The details will be discussed at a future meeting of the borough planning and development committee.
Other applications submitted this week include - display on non-illuminated fascia board and advance warning signage for the Punch Bowl, Longridge Road, Hurst Green; change of house types and re-siting of plots at Highmoor Park, Pendle Road, Clitheroe; conversion of stone barn to dwelling at Lower Monubent Farm, Green's Lane, Bolton-by-Bowland; Sunday car boot sale for 26 weeks per year at De Tabley Inn, Ribchester Road, Clayton-le-Dale; alterations to provide new scorer's enclosure and more club room by inserting windows in lieu of present verandah rails at the cricket ground, Chipping Road, Longridge; conversion of existing barn to dwelling at Middle Lees Barn, Whitewell Road, Cow Ark; refurbishment of north west wing to provide cottage for chauffeur at Chadswell House, Chipping Road, Chaigley;
Single storey extension to existing study at 12 Woodlands Park, Whalley; two storey rear extension at 18 Mearley Syke, Clitheroe; construction of car park for customers and staff on vacant area at rear of Spar shop, 24-28 Garnett Road, Clitheroe; change of use from bank to retail shop at Old Bank, Main Street, Gisburn.
