A DAY off for Bamber Bridge at the top of the Unibond League, so time to reflect on their Lancashire ATS Cup semi-final victory over neighbours Chorley.
It was really all over at half-time, with Bridge two goals ahead. The first by Maddock mid-way into the first half, the second, just as convincing, almost on the half-time whistle from former Chorley man Mark Edwards.
Chorley had a much improved second half, but Steve O'Neill put the seal on the proceedings with a close range shot in injury time. That 3-0 win secured Bridge a place in the final against Morecambe at Deepdale on April 24 - the club they beat in last year's final!
