ONE of the region's most respected restaurants has triumphed in our Citizen Restaurant of the Year competition.
Samuel's of Samlesbury received the most votes in our contest, which proved a big hit with readers.
Success has come quickly for general manager, Jonathan Sharp, 25, who has only been running the eatery for 14 months.
He said: "I would like to say thanks to all my staff and everyone who has contributed. The restuarant would not have won without them."
Mr Sharp was presented with a special trophy, a certificate and flowers.
One of many readers who voted for Samuel's, Mrs Sarah Sutcliffe, also received flowers when her name was drawn out of the hat. The blooms came with the compliments of Wilkinson's Florist.
