OUR cheeky front page photograph of Glenn Challenger, dressed for his first day at school, has been chosen to promote the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust on television in the Channel Islands.
The picture, taken last August by Citizen photographer Kevin Walsh, was picked because it marked a milestone four-year-old Glenn's life.
The youngster, who suffers from a rare form of leukaemia, looked a picture of health after a successful bone marrow transplant.
The connection between Glenn, in Nares Road, Blackburn, and the Channel Isles is his aunt, Pauline George, who lives in Jersey and is involved with the Trust.
Glenn's mum Sharon said: "The Citizen photograph says it all. The trauma Glenn had been through had a happy ending and the picture captured a real turning point in his short life."
She added: "Pauline has promised to record the programme and send it to me."
