JOINT the jet set when it comes to advertising - with your local fire service! Greater Manchester County Fire Service is blazing a trail as the first fire brigade in the country to offer sponsorship opportunities to commercial companies.
This offers a chance for local or national organisations to get their feet on the ladder of success by being associated with a large, high-status public service dedicated to helping the community at large.
Bright sparks will know more by attending a special Sponsorship Day at Manchester United Football Club, Old Trafford on April 30.
Elements to be discussed will include television and radio advertising, message space on the sides of emergency and support vehicles, fire safety literature, posters, and involvement in specific high profile campaigns for the elderly, children and the sick or infirm.
Greater Manchester Fire Service is the second busiest brigade in Britain, attending over 66,000 incidents a year.
These incidents are widely reported in newspapers and on television and last year the brigade had 4,000 inclusions in newspapers.
It was seen on television programmes on more than 60 occasions and was featured in documentary programmes like the BBC's 999 series and ITV's Blues and Twos.
Companies who have a burning desire to find out about this unique way of advertising as well as aiding one of our most valuable public services are invited to contact the publicity department of Greater Manchester Fire Service on 736 5866.
