BURNLEY football club, hit by grave financial problems and debts of more than £800,000, was up for sale.
The directors today put a price of £15 each on the new 42,000 shares which were being issued, in a desperate bid to save the Turf Moor club from folding.
Chairman Frank Teasdale said: "The new share issue has just got to succeed to save the club, it's as simple as that."
