DANIEL KINGS reigned supreme in the first weekend of competition in the Lancashire Age Group Gala at Broughton Pool.
The Atherton SC youngster swam a superb PB in the 12-Year 100 backstroke with a national qualifying time. He also grabbed a silver in the 100 freestyle - a medal matched by Nicholas Jackson in the 17-Year 200 IM.
Most of the Atherton swimmers bettered their PBs and many swam faster than their submitted times against strong opposition from all over Lancashire.
