A COLLEGE has an extra reason to cheer on England football team next week - three players are ex-students.
Manchester United's Gary and Philip Neville are the first brothers to be selected for the national squad since the Charltons.
They will be joined by QPR's Trevor Sinclair.
All three spent a year on a part-time course at Accrington and Rossendale College.
They passed the BTEC National Certificate in Leisure and Tourism, sponsored by the Footballers' Further Education Society.
There are currently 122 young footballers on the course from across the North West.
The Neville brothers studied after signing for United and Sinclair joined the course while on Blackpool's books.
Tutor Trish Keppie said: "We are proud and excited that three of our ex-students have been selected for England and we wish them well."
England play Bulgaria at Wembley on Wednesday.
