VISITORS from all over the world will learn a little about Blackburn when they drop in at the the Granada Studios Tour in Manchester.
The internationally-acclaimed attraction has agreed to run a special Blackburn Week as part of the borough's Celebration 96. The week will be launched next month when Blackburn mayor Coun Maureen Bateson meets former Weatherfield mayor Alf Roberts, Coronation Street's Bryan Mosley.
Darwen Morris dancers will add a traditional local flavour to the opening ceremony, and schools and organisations from the borough will be represented during the week.
Children can enter an essay competition on what they like best about Blackburn or Darwen, and adults get a raffle for two weekend breaks.
