A HARD-hitting video depicting the downward decline into drug addiction has been praised by Lancashire drug agencies and senior churchmen.
The Devil's Candy is the latest production by the Rev Lawrie Adam, Video Production Coordinator for the Church of England in Lancashire.
It was designed to be used with drug offenders, prisoners and older pupils in schools and colleges. The 15-minute production, filmed in Blackpool, features seven addicts and dealers telling their stories and the shattering impact drugs have had on their lives and the lives of their family and friends.
"The impact of the video is designed to be on people's emotions, not primarily on an intellectual level," said Mr Adam. "All those interviewed were incredibly open."
The video, with accompanying handbook, costs £49.95, plus £1.50 postage and packing from Cranleigh Communications, Cranleigh House, 242a Burnley Road, Padiham, BB12 8SS, or further information is available by contacting Rev Adam on 01282 779291.
