STANLEY fully deserved a point at league leaders Bamber Bridge in a much improved performance.
The home side dominated the early play with Rob Mulloy making a superb diving save from a Steve Senior header on 24 minutes.
It was Senior who gave Bridge the lead two minutes later, Phil Chadwick crossing from the left for Senior to head beyond Mulloy.
Darren Thornton had a shot just over on 37 minutes but a minute later the Reds were level, Mark Rawstron's free-kick was headed by Lee Rogerson, keeper Steve Berryman failed to hold and Brian Welch scored from close range. Stanley dominated the second half with Darren Quick striking a 25-yard shot on 69 minutes.
Tonight Clitheroe travel away to play Penrith away in the North West Counties Division One and Stanley Reserves play Prescot at the Crown ground (kick-off 7.30pm).
