A STUDENT from Leigh is appealing for Journal readers to come forward and help him improve his RUSSIAN!
David Shuttleworth, 26, of Gordon Street, is currently studying Soviet Studies and Russian at Portsmouth University and is finding it difficult to pick up the language which he started as a total beginner.
He is now anxious for help from any Russian-speaking locals who can give him extra tuition before he goes to Russia in September for his third year of study.
David said: "Would it be possible for any Russian speakers willing to offer a little time to help me. I will be in Leigh for the next four weeks and return for summer on July 7. Any help would be much appreciated."
Anyone willing to help should ring David on 01942 702839.
