A PUBLIC meeting is to be held in protest at plans for a £10 million school.
Hundreds of people are expected to attend St Francis Church Hall.
They are expressing concern at the plans by St Wilfrid's School to build on the Feniscliffe playing field site.
Residents are worried the scheme will cause a massive rise in traffic and devalue property prices.
Lord Taylor of Blackburn is also opposing the scheme, saying the area cannot afford to lose a recreational area.
Jane Syncox, who is part of an action committee fighting the project, said: "We're expecting the hall to be packed because there is a very strong feeling about this."
The meeting starts at 8pm on Wednesday, April 3.
