TWENTY five years ago Nick Park was a typical Preston schoolboy at St Cuthbert Mayne High School making home movies in his spare time.
Now he's just won his third Oscar for his latest Wallace and Gromit adventure, A Close Shave.
As he received the award the Preston lad praised his parents Roger and Celia Park who live in Walmer Bridge.
Nick said: "I would like to thank them for allowing me to play with their 8mm cine camera. I think they've regretted it ever since."
After the ceremony Nick's father Roger, 70, said: "We are so proud of him."
