PRESTON will be aiming to keep the promotion charge on track when they face second-from-bottom Scarborough on Saturday.

North End desperately need to put together a winning sequence - and there's no better time to start!

Their recent home form has been a big let-down and Gary Peters knows that they simply must make the most of their remaining home fixtures if they are to go up as Champions.

This North End side deserve to do so, but football is a hard life and you hardly ever get what you deserve. Preston have played some fabulous football - at times - this season and have the look of Champions.

A win on Saturday would go a long way towards seeing North End first past the post on May 4th.

PNE have already beaten Scarborough twice at Deepdale this season - 3-2 in the league and 2-1 in the Auto Windscreens Shield - and should really snatch all three points from this visit to the seaside.

North End allowed Scarborough back into that league clash in October thanks to sloppy defending and it's vital that no such repeat happens on Saturday.

The same thing happened against Darlington at Deepdale recently and it is a habit North End will have to get rid of if they want that prized pole position.
