IT'S a long time since there was such prolific goalscoring at Irongate ... and it still ended in another draw!
Hardly time to savour the atmosphere when Marine went in front through Graham Rowlands.
It took half an hour for Bridge to get on level terms with Steve O'Neill on target, followed minutes later by Paul Allen putting the Irongate side in front.
As if that wasn't enough excitement for the first half, Sean Lundon equalised for Marine on the stroke of half-time.
Anyone lingering too long over the break would have missed Mark Milligan slamming Bridge into the lead, Tony Ward levelling for Marine, and a minute later Graham Rowlands giving them the advantage ... all within five pulsating minutes.
Fifteen breathless minutes later Wayne Maddock got Bridge back on level terms - and deservedly so.
Amazingly, there was still 20 minutes to go ... and more amazingly, no more goals.
Both teams and their spectators went home satisfied with a fair result and they certainly went home hoarse!
On Saturday Bridge entertain mid-table Bishop Auckland.
