A HUGE ice rink is being created in the Guild Hall, Preston, for its production of Beauty and the Beast.
Twelve tons of ice will form the 1600 square foot rink for the spectacular.
The new £3 million musical ice ballet's music and lyrics have been written by David Essex, and the storyline is playwright David Wood's work.
A company of 26 world-class ice dancers from the Russian All Stars have spent four months rehearsing for the two-hour show, which features a 40 foot somersault and a rarely performed trapeze routine.
The show runs from April 3-7 and the Citizen has four pairs of tickets to give away for the production.
All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets for on either Saturday April 6 or Sunday April 7, at either 2.30pm or 7.30pm, is answer the following question:
How many tons of ice are being used to create the show's ice rink?
Send entries to Beauty and Beast, Citizen Newsdesk, 3 Winckley Court, Preston by April 4. Include your name, address and daytime telephone number and specify which show you would prefer to see. Usual Citizen competition rules apply. Unfortunately, dates are not transferrable.
