WARRIORS U8s were neck and neck at half-time against Lunt Heath Lions, but they gathered their strength and produced the convincing 52-22 win. Tries were by man of the match James Lloyd (4), Chris Tuson (4), Daniel Aspinall and Jonathan Walker who also converted. Other conversions by Ben Balch and Daniel Armstrong. Richard Simms was named best tackler.
The U10s won 30-22, playing away at Mayfield. Tries were by Andrew Smith (2), Dean Taylor (2), Stuart Brown and Wesley Loram who also converted, along with two by Lee Parkinson. The two evenly-matched teams had an end-to-end game of rugby. Hal Pedlar was voted man of the match and top tackler Lee Dolan were both instrumental in the result.
The U11s played host to Grappenhall Griffins. Man of the match Daniel Marrinan and top tackler Jonathan Tuson could not avoid the loss 24-8 to the Griffins, but Warriors never failed to pile on the pressure. A good, clean, entertaining game saw both Paul Lorenzen and Lee Beattie score tries.
The U12s put up a disappointing display, losing to Heywood. The only highlight was an outstanding performance by man of the match, loose forward Paul Brown who scored one of Warriors' two tries, the second from Christopher Smith. Top tackler was Matthew Bennett.
Warriors U13s played Oldham St Annes away in a closely contested game with Warriors trailing by 12 points at half-time, but stepped up a gear in the second to come within two points of the lead, only to let it slip in the last ten minutes, losing 40-24. Man of the match was Jamie Maitland, with tries by Danny Wright, Michael Smith, Ian Peters, Soloman Pender and Michael Fletcher. Ian Schofield scored two conversions.
Despite a second half that lacked flair, the Warriors U15s won 21-14 against Wigan team Crown Springs. With only one league game to play, Warriors must improve on their ball game. Tries by Liam Kirkham, Philip Kerfoot, Nathan Dyke and Stephen Hart. Two goals and a drop goal to Stephen Charnley completed the scores. Nathan Dyke was man of the match.
