ACCRINGTON threw away any chances of a cup victory against Adlington Rangers in a crazy few minutes just before half time.
Leading 16 points to 10 and with the wind and elements in their favour their failed to capitalise on their overall superiority.
On the stroke of half-time, Adlington drew even after poor defensive work let them in for a sloppy score under the posts. Accrington fielded a fairly experimental side on the day, leaving established players on the bench in an effort to overcome minor injuries.
In the second half Adlington ran away with the tie. When Bienias was introduced he scored two tries to bring respectability to the scoreline.
Accrington now face a vital home fixture this Saturday against Swinton Victoria (kick-off 2pm).
