SPORTING kickboxers put a smile on the face of a six-year-old when they performed an athletic demonstration and raised cash to buy him a walking frame.
Ivan Stafford, of Arran Avenue, Blackburn, has suffered from cerebral palsy since he was two-and-a-half and although he attends school and can sit up in his chair, he is unable to walk without support.
His physiotherapist Ray Parker is a teacher at the Blackburn Kickboxing and Ju-jitsu Club, and decided to organise the athletic performance at the Manxman Hotel, Blackburn.
They collected £140 from the demonstration which goes towards the £1,000 appeal launched by Ivan's family to buy a walking frame.
They have now raised £388 from various events.
Ivan's mother Susan said: "The evening went really well and we want to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us." Anyone who can help with fund-raising should contact Susan on 01254 694060.
