THE National Meningitis Trust needs to reach the vital over-55s audience. Meningitis is still largely associated with children and younger people generally. However, this devastating disease can strike at any time of life.
To increase further our profile with this age group, the trust wants to hear stories and anecdotes from people who have experience of British hospitalisation before the establishment of the national health service.
Our intention is to publish a collection of memories to mark our 10th anniversary year. Stories need not be meningitis-related, but we are looking to achieve a balance of moving, off-beat and light-hearted content.
